Do a Home Inspection on the home to know more about what you will be buying.

Verify the value and actual square foot of the home with an Appraiser.

Verify the lot line and use of the property with the Surveyor.

Call an insurance company and get an estimate of Homeowners insurance and whether you need Flood or Wind insurance.

Check to see if there are any Warranties that go with the house.

Check Title to the property and any liens.

Call the building department and find out that all Permits were pulled on the house.

Ask the Seller for the average utility bill and call the utility companies.

Call the County Tax Assessor and find out what to expect with the property taxes.

Request crime information from the Police Department and search for sex offenders in the area.

Future development plans, call the Local Planning Department.
